newfounds a great lake although it's probably easier fishing from a boat this time of year. |

Newfound is one of the most humbling lakes I've ever fished (might be because I used to go in summer without a boat lol). I had some of my nicest bass and rainbows came from bridge before the dam on the south end of the lake (w. shore dr near amy joe cottages). Morning is best over there, loaded with big bass eating all the crayfish. Just dont venture to close to the dam (within 200' or so) with your spinning gear it turns into fly fishing only. nice catch and good luck!! |
