Thursday Night Rainbows

Went to Houghton's Pond after work last night and fished for about an hour and caught 3 nice Rainbow Trout, all 3 bows are holdovers for sure.

Nice job. I've only ever caught 1 rainbow trout and it fell off while I was looking at it in amazement, while holding it over the water. I was younger then. Nice job.

Fished Ashland res the other day was white hot.I was getting hits on every cast landed 3 missed many more two were nice over a pound a piece.

I fished right behind the concession stand booth next to the beach area.

Did you fish the southeast corner or the western shore?

Yeah, deffo good fish regardless. Most I get out of the stocks are typically 1-4 pounds roughly. Most don't tend to survive the heat of summer.

They seemed kind of big to be newbies but either way it was a good time. Going to Ashland Res. tomorrow.

Stocked Houghton's last week ( the 18th ) so might just fish from that batch.
