Sudbury Reservoir Fishing Report
Sudbury Lunker!
I got out early on a sunny August morning and landed my best fish of the year on my second cast! Caught this largemouth on a Super Spook Jr. at 7:20am, 20" long chunk and estimated 5 pounder (I lost my scale on my last trip, unfortunately).
The rest of the morning, I caught 3 more largemouth under 2 pounds and a tiny smallmouth. I ended the morning working a double blade spinnerbait just above a submerged weed bed and had some good action with this pattern. Certainly a memorable August morning!

I lost a nice one off parmenter the other night. Action off soft plastics was great not one taker off spook but water was pretty choppy.

This was my 4th time fishing the reservoir. I've been going to the area around Acre Bridge Road.

Congrats! I fish the Sud frequently, but I have not got one that big yet!
My best so far this season was on opening day, April 2, just a bit under 3 lbs.
Where abouts were you? I usually fish the Parmenter Road area.
