Berkshires Fishing Trip

It was getting dark at our berkshire house and of course i wanted to go out on the boat just before sundown and catch a few more bass. I didn't want to do this alone, so i tried to get my brother to come, he finally does and we get out on the water. The night started out quick with me catching a 3 pounder with my first cast using a yum dancing eel, this lure was magic here. in the next couple casts nothing really happened, until my brother breaks off the red eye shad he was using. This was due to his inexperience. At this point he want to go home because he had just lost a lure and had nothing to fish with, so i gave him a dark colored strike king spinner bait. He was very apposed to the lure because he claimed it wouldn't work because it had shiny blades, but thy wouldn't shine because he suns not out. I told him, its all about the vibration it makes, he ignored this and took his first cast. During his retrieve i manage to land a nice pickerel and let it go, when i look back at my brother, his rod was half in the water, as if it were going to break. "HOLY MOLY" i exclaimed, "yea" he replied "i got one". JUst as he says this, the monster jumped. this is where he got out of his monotonis stage and started freaking out with me. he knew he had a monster now. He got it to the boat and i scooped it up with out little bass net and it barely fit it was so big. I got it in the boat, and the celebration started. Until we had realized we didn't se anchor and we had drifted a couple hundred meters. So i grabbed the oars and sprinted back towards the house, where we showed it off, took pictures, and of course let him free.
